OMOD COMMAND+ is a module for your RED DSMC2 camera that adds:

• Ambient ACN Wireless Timecode and Internal Genlock Generator

• Wireless Color Processing Functionality with 3x Independent HD-SDI outputs

The DSMC2’s HDMI monitor path is converted 10-bit HDSDI. CDL/1024 1D LUTs and 33x33x33 3D LUTs with ACES compliance, all in real-time, wireless to the camera. Real-time resolution and frame-rate conversions including 1080 60i output.

Output the leading HDR display standard, SMPTE 2084, for real-time HDR images while shooting in addition to simultaneous monitoring standard dynamic range (SDR).

All OMOD models work on all DSMC2 cameras (Raven, Scarlet-W, Epic-W, Weapon 6K, Weapon w/S35 Helium, Weapon 8K VV)

Powerful Image Processing

Command Models feature 3 independent HD-SDI outputs that give you the most advanced signal path options.

Manage and store CDLs and 33-point 3D LUTs and live grade directly to the OMOD using industry-leading live color-grading software solutions. Two independent color channels allow for simultaneous HDR and SDR live grading with independent outputs.

Simultaneously monitor in standard dynamic range (SDR) and output SMPTE 2084 HDR images in real-time while shooting with Command RT+.

Teradek and SpectraCal have integrated CalMAN software, the industry standard for ensuring accuracy in video displays, into the Command models, allowing you to use the OMOD, and it’s SDI outputs, as a pattern generator for CalMAN calibration software to create monitor specific calibration LUTs.

Uncompromising Wireless Control

Command models offer powerful, dual-band WiFi allowing you to live-grade color, configure and control the OMOD’s SDI outputs, and the camera at distances up to 350 feet.

FoolControl lets you take full control over a RED DSMC2 camera connected to the same network as your iOS device or computer, allowing you to manage every major parameter of your camera remotely.

Picture-Perfect Time Sync

Command models feature integrated, wireless timecode and an internal genlock generator with Ambient ACN (Ambient Communication Network). This means no more time code boxes velcro’d to the side of the camera, no more re-jamming, no more drift and no more complaints from post.

ACN allows you to wirelessly jam all time-code device clocks on the set with line-accurate syncing. It’s an innovative, timesaving metadata collection/management system combined with the distribution of Ambient’s world-renowned timecode.
